Upgrade Subscription
Verify that store owners can upgrade from their current plan to a higher tier, with prorated billing applied correctly.
Preconditions
- Store has an active paid subscription (e.g., Basic plan)
- Higher tier plans are available

Follow each step carefully
Navigate to Subscription settings in store admin
Current subscription details are displayed
Click "Change Plan" or "Upgrade"
Button near current plan information
Plan selection page/modal appears
Select a higher tier plan
Choose a plan with more features/higher limits
Plan is selected and proration preview appears
Review prorated charges
Summary showing amount due today and credit from current plan
Proration calculation is clear and reasonable
You should see credit for unused time on current plan, minus cost of new plan
Confirm the upgrade
"Confirm Upgrade" button
Upgrade is processed, confirmation shown
Expected Result
After upgrade: (1) Plan is upgraded immediately (no waiting), (2) Prorated amount is charged or credited, (3) New features become available instantly, (4) Next billing reflects new plan price, (5) Upgrade confirmation email sent, (6) Invoice generated for proration.
