Verify that store owners can subscribe to a paid plan to unlock additional features. This is the primary monetization flow for the platform.
Preconditions
- You are logged in as a store owner
- Your store is on the free tier or no plan
- Subscription plans are configured by platform admin

Follow each step carefully
Log in to your store admin dashboard

Navigate to Subscription or Billing settings
Settings > Subscription, or "Upgrade" button in navigation

Select the plan you want to subscribe to
Click "Select Plan" or "Choose" button on desired plan

Choose billing cycle (monthly or annual)
Toggle or tabs for billing frequency
Price updates to reflect chosen cycle
Annual billing often includes a discount (e.g., 2 months free)
Proceed to payment
"Subscribe" or "Continue to Payment" button
Payment form or checkout page appears
Enter payment details
Card form or payment method selection
Payment details are entered without errors
Complete the subscription
"Complete Subscription" or "Pay Now" button
Payment processes and confirmation appears
Expected Result
After subscription: (1) Confirmation page shows subscription is active, (2) Store plan is immediately updated, (3) New features/limits are available, (4) Welcome/confirmation email is sent, (5) First invoice is generated, (6) Next billing date is displayed.
