Product Images and AI Vision
Verify that multiple images can be uploaded, primary image set, and AI vision analysis extracts color/style/material attributes for enhanced search.
Preconditions
- You have product images ready (JPG, PNG, or WebP format, max 5MB each)
- AI vision feature is enabled for the store (if applicable)
Test Data
Prepare 3-5 product images showing different angles. One image should clearly show color and material for AI analysis.Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Open an existing product or create a new one
Click on a product in the list, or "Add Product" button
Product edit form is displayed
Upload multiple images (drag and drop or click to select)
Image upload zone, labeled "Images" or "Media"
Upload progress shows, then all image previews appear
Max 5MB per image. You can select multiple files at once.
Set the primary image by clicking "Set as primary" or dragging to first position
Star icon, "Primary" badge, or drag handle on image thumbnails
First/primary image is clearly marked
Primary image appears in product listings and search results
Trigger AI vision analysis (if available)
Button labeled "Analyze Image", "Extract Attributes", or automatic on upload
Loading indicator shows while AI processes the image
Review AI-extracted attributes
New fields or tags showing extracted: colors, style, materials, patterns
AI has populated attributes like "Blue", "Cotton", "Casual", etc.
These attributes enhance search and filtering capabilities
Verify or edit the AI-extracted attributes
Edit icons or input fields for the extracted values
Can add, remove, or modify the AI suggestions
Save the product
Success message appears
Test vision-enhanced search on storefront
Search for a color or material that AI extracted (e.g., "blue cotton")
Product appears in search results based on AI-extracted attributes
Expected Result
After setup: (1) Multiple images are saved with product, (2) Primary image displays in listings, (3) AI vision extracts color/style/material attributes, (4) Extracted attributes can be reviewed and edited, (5) Products are searchable by AI-extracted attributes on storefront.
