You are logged in with product management permissions
At least one physical product exists

Navigate to Products and select a product to edit

Location

Click on a product row to open edit form

Verify

Product edit form loads

Locate the Inventory section and enable inventory tracking

Toggle or checkbox labeled "Track inventory" or similar

Verify

Inventory fields become visible/enabled

Set the stock quantity to 50

Quantity or Stock input field

Quantity shows 50

Set low stock threshold to 10

Location

Input field labeled "Low stock threshold" or "Alert when below"

Verify

Threshold is set to 10

Note

Store will be alerted when stock falls below this level

Set allow_backorders to OFF/disabled

Toggle for "Allow backorders" or "Continue selling when out of stock"

Backorders toggle is OFF

When OFF, product cannot be purchased when stock reaches 0

Save the product

Verify

Success message appears

Navigate back to products list and test stock status filters

Filter dropdown or tabs with options: in_stock, out_of_stock, low_stock

Filters are available and clickable

Apply "in_stock" filter

Verify

Product list shows only products with available inventory

Apply "low_stock" filter

Verify

Product list shows only products below their low stock threshold (if any exist)

Apply "out_of_stock" filter

Verify

Product list shows only products with zero inventory (if any exist)

Expected Result

After configuration: (1) Inventory is tracked for the product, (2) Stock decreases when orders are placed, (3) Low stock alerts trigger when below threshold, (4) Product cannot be purchased when out of stock (backorders disabled), (5) Stock filters correctly categorize products.
