Digital Product Delivery
Verify that orders containing digital products correctly create download access, allow file downloads via secure tokens, and enforce download limits.
Preconditions
- Store has at least one digital product with a file attached
- Digital product is published and available for purchase

Follow each step carefully
Add a digital product to cart
Find a product marked as digital (may have download icon or "Digital" badge)
Digital product is in cart
Digital products should not show shipping options at checkout
Complete checkout for the digital product
Standard checkout flow; shipping may be skipped for digital-only orders
Order is placed; confirmation page shows
Complete payment (if not paid during checkout)
Follow payment flow
Payment status is PAID
Check for download access on confirmation page or in confirmation email
Download link/button on confirmation page or "Download your files" link in email
Download option is available immediately after payment
Click the download link to download the digital file
"Download" button or link
File downloads successfully; file is the correct product file
In store admin, verify DigitalPurchaseAccess was created for this order
Order detail page > Digital access section, or separate Digital Purchases page
Access record exists showing: order, product, access_token, download_count, max_downloads
Note the download count and test download limit enforcement
Download multiple times up to the limit
Download count increments with each download
If max_downloads is set (e.g., 5), download should fail after limit reached
Test download with invalid/tampered access token
Modify the download URL token and try to access
Download fails with appropriate error (invalid token, unauthorized)
If logged in, verify digital products appear in customer account downloads section
Account > Downloads or "My Downloads"
Purchased digital products are listed with download links
Expected Result
Digital product delivery works: (1) Digital products can be purchased, (2) DigitalPurchaseAccess record created upon payment, (3) Download link uses secure access_token, (4) File downloads correctly, (5) Download count is tracked, (6) Download limit is enforced if set, (7) Invalid tokens are rejected, (8) Downloads accessible from customer account, (9) Digital-only orders may skip shipping.
