Order Search and Filter
Verify that store admins can effectively search and filter orders by various criteria including order number, customer email, status, payment status, and fulfillment status.
Preconditions
- You are logged in as store admin/owner
- Store has multiple orders in various statuses for testing filters
Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to Orders in store admin
Admin sidebar > Orders
Orders list is displayed with all orders
Search by order number using the search field
Search input field, enter full or partial order number
Results show only orders matching the search term
Clear search and search by customer email
Clear search, enter customer email address
Results show orders from that customer
Use status filter to show only PENDING orders
Status dropdown/filter, select "Pending"
Only orders with PENDING status are displayed
Filter by payment status (e.g., PAID or PENDING)
Payment status filter dropdown
Orders filtered by selected payment status
Filter by fulfillment status (e.g., UNFULFILLED)
Fulfillment status filter dropdown
Only unfulfilled orders are shown
Combine multiple filters (e.g., CONFIRMED status + PAID + UNFULFILLED)
Apply multiple filters simultaneously
Results show only orders matching ALL criteria (AND logic)
Sort orders by date (newest first, then oldest first)
Click date column header or sort dropdown
Orders reorder based on date; sort direction toggles
Sort by order total
Click total column header or select from sort options
Orders reorder by total amount
Clear all filters and verify all orders are shown again
"Clear filters" button or remove individual filters
Full order list is displayed without any filtering
Expected Result
Order search and filtering works: (1) Search finds orders by order number (partial match), (2) Search finds orders by customer email, (3) Status filter correctly filters by order status, (4) Payment status filter works, (5) Fulfillment status filter works, (6) Multiple filters can be combined, (7) Sorting by date and total works in both directions, (8) Filters can be cleared to show all orders, (9) Empty results show appropriate message.
