Remove Item from Cart
Verify that customers can remove individual items from their shopping cart.
Preconditions
- Cart has at least one item (ideally two for testing)
Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to the cart page
Click cart icon in header
Cart opens showing items
Note the current number of items and subtotal
Count items and check subtotal
You know the starting state
Click the remove/delete button for one item
Trash icon, "X" button, or "Remove" link next to item
Item is removed from cart
Verify the item is no longer in the cart
Check cart contents
Removed item is not visible; item count decreased
Verify subtotal updated correctly
Check subtotal
Subtotal no longer includes removed item price
Expected Result
Cart item removal works: (1) Remove button is visible for each item, (2) Clicking remove removes the item, (3) Item count updates, (4) Subtotal updates correctly, (5) Removing all items shows empty cart state.
