Verify that customers can apply valid discount codes at checkout and see the discount reflected in their order total.

- Cart has items totaling enough to meet any discount minimum
- A valid discount code exists (e.g., "SAVE10" for 10% off)

Navigate to cart or checkout page
Click cart icon and proceed to cart/checkout
Cart or checkout page loads with items visible
Locate the discount/promo code input field
"Have a promo code?", "Discount code", or expandable coupon field
Discount code input field is visible or expandable
Enter a valid discount code
Type the discount code in the input field
Code is entered in the field
Click "Apply" to apply the discount
Apply button next to discount field
Success message appears; discount is shown in order summary
Verify the discount amount is correct
Check the discount line item in order summary
Discount amount matches the code value (e.g., 10% of subtotal)
Verify the total is reduced by the discount amount
Compare new total to original subtotal
Total = Subtotal - Discount (+ shipping/tax if applicable)
Expected Result
Discount code application works: (1) Discount field is accessible, (2) Valid codes are accepted with success feedback, (3) Discount is shown as a line item, (4) Total is correctly reduced, (5) Invalid codes show appropriate error message.
