Update Cart Quantity
Verify that customers can increase and decrease product quantities in the shopping cart.
Preconditions
- Cart has at least one item
Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to the cart page
Click cart icon in header
Cart page or drawer opens showing items
Note the current quantity and line total for an item
Observe quantity number and price x quantity total
You know the starting quantity and total
Increase the quantity using the "+" button or quantity input
Click "+" or edit quantity field
Quantity increases; line total updates immediately
Verify the cart subtotal updates correctly
Check subtotal/total at bottom of cart
Subtotal reflects the new quantity
Decrease the quantity using the "-" button
Click "-" button
Quantity decreases; totals update accordingly
Decreasing to 0 may remove the item or show minimum of 1
Expected Result
Cart quantity update works: (1) Quantity can be increased with "+", (2) Quantity can be decreased with "-", (3) Line totals update immediately, (4) Subtotal/total updates correctly, (5) Cannot set invalid quantities (negative, exceeds stock).
