User Login
Verify that existing users can log in with valid credentials. This is a critical flow that gates access to all authenticated features of the platform. Successful login returns JWT tokens for authentication.
Preconditions
- A user account already exists in the system
- The email address has been verified (if verification is required)
- You know the correct password for the account
- You are not currently logged in

Follow each step carefully
Navigate to /login page
Click "Log In" or "Sign In" button in the top navigation bar
Login form is displayed with email and password fields
Enter your registered email address
Email/username field at the top of the form
Field accepts the input; no immediate validation error
Enter your correct password
Password field with optional show/hide toggle
Password field masks the input (shows dots or asterisks)
Click the "Sign In" or "Log In" button
Primary button below the form fields
Button shows loading state during authentication
Verify successful authentication and redirect
Check for redirect to dashboard or onboarding flow
User is redirected away from login page
New users may be redirected to onboarding; existing users to dashboard
Expected Result
After successful login: (1) JWT access and refresh tokens are returned and stored, (2) User is redirected to their dashboard or onboarding if first-time login, (3) Navigation shows user profile/avatar indicating logged-in state, (4) Session is persisted - refreshing the page keeps user logged in, (5) Protected features are now accessible.
