Google Sign-In
Verify that users can sign in or register using their Google account. This flow handles both new user creation and existing user login via OAuth.
Preconditions
- You have a valid Google account
- You are not currently logged in to the application
- Pop-ups are enabled in your browser for OAuth flow

Follow each step carefully
Navigate to the login or registration page
Click "Log In" or "Sign Up" in the navigation
Login/registration page is displayed with Google Sign-In option
Click the "Sign in with Google" or "Continue with Google" button
Google branded button, usually with Google logo
Google OAuth popup or redirect initiates
Select your Google account or enter Google credentials
Google account picker or login form
Google authenticates your account
If already logged into Google, you may only need to select the account
Review and accept permission requests (first time only)

Verify the application receives Google authentication
Application should process the OAuth callback
User is authenticated and redirected appropriately
Expected Result
After successful Google Sign-In: (1) For new users: account is created using Google profile data, is_new_user flag is true in response, (2) For existing users: user is logged in, is_new_user flag is false, (3) JWT tokens are returned and stored, (4) User is redirected to dashboard or onboarding as appropriate, (5) Google profile picture and name may be synced to user profile.
