Preview Theme Before Applying
Verify that store owners can preview a theme on their storefront before applying it.
Preconditions
- You are logged in as store owner or admin
- Store has at least one product for preview
Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to Theme settings
Admin > Settings > Themes
Theme selection page loads
Select a theme different from your current theme
Click on a theme card
Theme is selected or highlighted
Click "Preview" button
"Preview", "Preview Theme", or eye icon
Preview mode opens, often in a new tab or overlay
Browse the preview to see homepage, products, etc.
Navigate within the preview window
Store content appears with the new theme styling
Verify your products and content appear in the preview
Check that real store data is displayed
Preview uses actual store products/content, not dummy data
Close the preview without applying
Close button, "X", or exit preview link
Preview closes; original theme is unchanged
Expected Result
Theme preview works: (1) Preview option is available, (2) Preview shows store with new theme, (3) Real store content is used, (4) Can navigate preview to see different pages, (5) Closing preview does not apply theme, (6) Original theme remains active.
