Create New Store
Verify that authenticated users can create a new store with name and slug. The store is created with onboarding_completed=false, requiring the user to complete the onboarding wizard before the store is fully operational.
Preconditions
- You are logged in with a verified account
- You have not exceeded the maximum number of stores for your plan
- Email verification requirement is met (if enabled on the platform)

Follow each step carefully
Log in to your account if not already logged in
Use the login form in the top navigation
You see your dashboard or account area
Navigate to the store creation page
Look for "Create Store", "New Store", or "+" button in your dashboard
Store creation form appears
Enter your store name
Text input field labeled "Store Name"
Name is accepted; slug may auto-generate based on name
Choose a memorable name that represents your brand
Enter or confirm your store slug/subdomain
Input shown with base domain (e.g., [your-slug].ojamaker.com)
Slug uniqueness check runs - green checkmark indicates availability
Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. This cannot be easily changed later.
Submit the store creation form
"Create Store" or "Continue" button
Loading indicator shows store is being created
Expected Result
After store creation: (1) POST /api/v1/stores/ is called with name and slug, (2) Success message confirms store was created, (3) Store is created with onboarding_completed=false, (4) User is redirected to /onboarding to complete the setup wizard, (5) You are automatically assigned as store owner.
