Order Fulfillment
Verify that store admins can fulfill orders by marking items as fulfilled, adding tracking numbers, and managing partial fulfillment scenarios.
Preconditions
- You are logged in as store admin/owner
- At least one order exists with CONFIRMED status and UNFULFILLED fulfillment_status
- For partial fulfillment test: an order with multiple items
Test Data
Tracking number: TRK123456789, Carrier: DHL or any available carrierTest Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to Orders in store admin
Admin sidebar > Orders
Orders list is displayed with recent orders
Find an order with CONFIRMED status and click to view details
Filter by status if needed, click order row or order number
Order detail page opens showing fulfillment_status as UNFULFILLED
Locate the fulfillment section and click "Create Fulfillment" or "Fulfill"

Select items to fulfill (select all for full fulfillment)
Checkboxes next to each item or "Select all" option
All items are selected for fulfillment
Enter tracking number and select carrier
Tracking number input field and carrier dropdown (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
Tracking information is entered
Confirm/save the fulfillment
"Create fulfillment", "Ship", or "Save" button
Success message appears; fulfillment_status changes to FULFILLED; order status may change to SHIPPED
Verify fulfillment details are recorded
Check fulfillment section on order detail page
Fulfillment shows tracking number, carrier, items fulfilled, and timestamp
Test partial fulfillment: find a multi-item order and fulfill only some items
Select only 1-2 items instead of all
Fulfillment is created for selected items; fulfillment_status becomes PARTIALLY_FULFILLED
Skip if no multi-item order available
Create another fulfillment for remaining items
Click "Create fulfillment" again for unfulfilled items
Second fulfillment created; fulfillment_status changes to FULFILLED when all items shipped
Expected Result
Order fulfillment works: (1) Fulfillments can be created with tracking info, (2) Order fulfillment_status updates correctly (UNFULFILLED -> PARTIALLY_FULFILLED -> FULFILLED), (3) Order status changes to SHIPPED when fulfilled, (4) Multiple fulfillments supported for partial shipments, (5) Tracking information is stored and viewable, (6) Customer notification email sent with tracking info.
