Complete Checkout Flow (Guest)
Verify that guest customers can complete a full checkout from adding products to cart through order confirmation. This is the most critical conversion path.
Preconditions
- Store has at least one published product with available stock
- You are NOT logged in (guest session)
- Store has payment methods configured
- Store has at least one shipping method configured

Follow each step carefully
Navigate to the store homepage
Visit the store URL (e.g., mystore.ojamaker.com)
Homepage loads showing products or categories
Browse and select a product to add to cart
Click on a product card to view details
Product detail page loads with full information
If product has variants, select required options (size, color, etc.)
Dropdown selects or clickable option buttons/swatches
All required options are selected; price may update for variant
Skip if product has no variants
Set quantity and click "Add to Cart"
Quantity selector and prominent "Add to Cart" button
Success feedback appears; cart icon updates with item count
Navigate to cart and click "Checkout" or "Proceed to Checkout"

Checkout page loads with order summary visible
Enter contact information (email and phone)
Email and phone input fields in contact section
Contact fields are filled; validation passes (green check or no errors)
Email is required for order confirmation and tracking
Enter shipping address (name, street, city, state, country)

All required address fields are completed; validation passes
Select a shipping method from available options
Radio buttons or cards showing shipping options with prices
Shipping method is selected; order total updates to include shipping cost
(Optional) Apply a discount code if available
"Promo code" or "Discount code" input field, may need to click to expand
If applied, discount shows in order summary and total is reduced
Skip if no discount code available for testing
Select payment method and enter payment details
Payment method selection and form (card number, etc.) or redirect to provider
Payment method selected and details entered (use test card for testing)
For Stripe test: 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future date, any CVC
Review order summary and click "Place Order" or "Complete Purchase"
Final confirmation button, usually primary/prominent
Processing indicator shows briefly, then redirects to confirmation page
Expected Result
After placing order: (1) Order confirmation page displays with order number, (2) Confirmation email sent to provided email address, (3) Inventory is reduced by ordered quantities, (4) Order appears in store admin with status PENDING or CONFIRMED, (5) Payment is captured or pending depending on method, (6) Customer can track order using order number + email.
