Filter Products by Price and Category
Verify that product filtering by price range and category works correctly on product listing pages.
Preconditions
- Store has products with varying prices
- Store has multiple categories
- Filter functionality is enabled
Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to the All Products or Shop page
"Shop", "All Products", or "Products" link in navigation
Product listing page loads with all products
Locate the filter panel or filter options
Usually a sidebar or "Filter" button that reveals options
Filter options are visible (price, category, etc.)
Apply a price range filter (e.g., under 5000 or between 1000-10000)
Price slider, min/max inputs, or price range checkboxes
Product list updates to show only products within price range
Verify all displayed products are within the selected price range
Check prices on each visible product card
All products have prices within the filtered range
Add a category filter while keeping price filter
Category checkboxes or dropdown
Results are further filtered by category AND price
Clear all filters
"Clear filters", "Reset", or "X" buttons
All products are shown again; filter state is reset
Expected Result
Product filtering works: (1) Filters are easy to find and use, (2) Price filter correctly limits results to price range, (3) Category filter shows only products in selected category, (4) Multiple filters can be combined, (5) Filters can be cleared to show all products, (6) Product count updates as filters are applied.
