Visual Search - Upload Image to Find Products
Verify that customers can upload an image to find similar products using AI-powered visual search.
Preconditions
- Store has Visual Search feature enabled
- Store has products with images
- Have a test image similar to a product in the store
Test Data
Use an image of a product type the store sells (e.g., a shoe, dress, or electronics item).Test Steps

Navigate to the storefront
Storefront loads
Find the Visual Search / Image Search feature
Camera icon in search bar, or "Search by Image" button
Visual search interface is accessible
May be in the main search, product listing, or AI chat
Upload a test image
Click to upload or drag-and-drop image
Image is uploaded and processing begins
Should show loading/analyzing state
Wait for AI analysis to complete
Analysis completes (should be <10 seconds)
OpenAI Vision API analyzes the image
Review the search results
Similar products are displayed based on image content
Results should be relevant to the uploaded image
Click on a result to view the product
Product page loads correctly
Expected Result
Visual search: (1) Image uploads successfully, (2) AI analyzes and extracts product attributes, (3) Relevant products are returned, (4) Results display with similarity scores, (5) Products are clickable.
