Delete Custom Role
Verify that custom roles can be deleted when no longer needed.
Preconditions
- You are logged in as store owner
- At least one custom role exists that can be deleted
- Preferably the role is not assigned to any team members (or have fallback)
Test Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to Roles settings
Admin > Settings > Roles
Roles list is displayed
Find the custom role to delete
Look for custom role with no/few members assigned
Role is identified
Click "Delete" on the custom role
Delete button or trash icon
Confirmation dialog appears
Read the warning about role deletion
Warning message in confirmation dialog
Warning explains impact (e.g., members will need new role)
Confirm the deletion
Confirm or "Yes, Delete" button
Role is deleted; removed from list
Verify the role is no longer available for assignment
Check role dropdown when editing team member
Deleted role does not appear in role options
Expected Result
Role deletion works: (1) Delete option is available for custom roles, (2) Warning is shown about impact, (3) Confirmation is required, (4) Role is removed from system, (5) Members with that role may need reassignment, (6) Built-in roles cannot be deleted.
