Configure Paystack Gateway
Verify that store owners with the payment_gateway_paystack feature can configure Paystack payment gateway, verify credentials, and accept payments.
Preconditions
- You are logged in as store owner/admin
- Store subscription includes payment_gateway_paystack feature
- You have Paystack test API keys from the Paystack dashboard
Test Data
Paystack Test Keys: Public Key starts with pk_test_, Secret Key starts with sk_test_. Get from dashboard.paystack.comTest Steps
Follow each step carefully
Navigate to Payment Settings
Go to /dashboard/settings/payments
Payment settings page loads
Verify Paystack option is available
Paystack should appear in the list of payment gateways
Paystack configuration card/section is visible
If not visible, check that subscription includes payment_gateway_paystack feature
Click to configure Paystack
Click "Configure" or "Setup" button on Paystack card
Paystack configuration form appears
Enter Paystack Public Key
Public Key field - starts with pk_test_ for test mode
Public key is entered
Enter Paystack Secret Key
Secret Key field - starts with sk_test_ for test mode
Secret key is entered (may be masked)
Secret key is sensitive - ensure you are on the correct site
Verify the credentials
Click "Verify Credentials" or "Test Connection" button
Success message confirms credentials are valid
If verification fails, double-check keys from Paystack dashboard
Enable Paystack gateway
Toggle switch to enable Paystack as payment option
Paystack is marked as enabled/active
Save configuration
Click "Save" button
Configuration saved successfully
Test payment in checkout
Go to storefront, add item to cart, proceed to checkout
Paystack appears as payment option and payment modal/redirect works
Expected Result
After configuration: (1) Paystack credentials are verified and saved, (2) Paystack appears at checkout, (3) Test payments work with test cards (4242 4242 4242 4242), (4) Webhook is auto-configured for payment notifications, (5) Secret keys are masked in the UI for security.
